Frozen food refers to foods that have qualified food raw materials that have been properly processed, frozen at a temperature of -30°, and stored and distributed at a temperature of -18° or lower after packaging.
Due to the low-temperature cold chain storage throughout the process, frozen food has the characteristics of long shelf life, non-perishable, and convenient consumption, but this also poses greater challenges and higher requirements for packaging materials.
The material structure used in the common frozen food packaging bags on the market at present:
1. PET/PE
This structure is more common in quick-frozen food packaging. It has better moisture-proof, cold-resistant, and low-temperature heat-sealing properties, and the cost is relatively low.
2.BOPP/PE, BOPP/CPP
This type of structure is moisture-proof, cold-resistant, and low-temperature heat-sealed with high tensile strength and relatively low cost. Among them, BOPP/PE, the appearance and feel of the packaging bag are better, which can improve the product grade.
3. PET/VMPET/CPE, BOPP/VMPET/CPE
Due to the existence of the aluminum-plated layer, the surface of this structure is exquisitely printed, but the low-temperature heat-sealability is slightly poor, and the cost is high, so the utilization rate is low.
4. NY/PE, PET/NY/LLDPE, PET/NY/AL/PE
This structural packaging is resistant to freezing and impact. Due to the existence of the NY layer, it has good puncture resistance, but the cost is relatively high. It is generally used for packaging angular or heavy products.
In addition, there are some simple PE bags, which are generally used for packaging vegetables and fruits, and the outer packaging bags of frozen foods. Composite PE packaging is also an environmentally friendly and recyclable packaging bag.
Qualified products must have qualified packaging, products need to be tested, and packaging needs to be tested even more.
